Our mind is a very powerful tool. Without us even realising it, we can be living in a ‘bubble of negativity’ because we have stopped challenging our thoughts. Have you ever woken up on a rainy morning a thought ‘Oh no its raining’ this can lead to ‘Now I wont be able to go for that walk’ leading to ‘my day is ruined’ to ‘nothing good ever happens to me’ within 10 minutes we can feel depressed, unloved, lonely. The good news is that we have the capability to stop this stream of negative thinking and take control of our minds.

Mindfulness is a research based technique that helps us to regain control of our thoughts, leaving us feeling happier, more positive and in control of our lives. There has been much research into its benefits for those living with Depression, Anxiety and Negativity.

Using a variety of strategies, including gentle meditation, we learn to regain control our mind and thoughts and gain a greater awareness of when we are slipping into negativity. This allows us to choose a happier path but also to deal with life challenges rather than fearing them which often leads to avoidance.
